For his upcoming Korra art show, Mark Batalla asked if I could draw Korra with other characters because apparently, they already received a lot of pieces with her bending all the elements (lookin’ like her badass self, as usual.) And while I normally gravitate towards Weeee!Yey!Happy! compositions, I wanted something that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to put up on a gallery wall. Less than 24 hours to the deadline, I finally came up with something I felt would work well.

Gorgeous artwork!!! I want to know why plp keep calling Korra badass? Aang was a 12 yr old kid, no family, could only bend one element, and had the weight of the world on his shoulders. He had sole resonsibility of ending a 100 yr long war, ending the suffering of coruntless plp of all nations, had to not just learn, but MASTER 3 more elements in less than a years time to fight one of the world's mot ruthless and accomplished villians all while being hunted and tracked like an animal by Several of the worlds greatest badass benders with limitless resources. All Korra has done is compete in a profession bending tournament, which she should have ben able to Dominate by her damn self, but couldn't, and fight one crazy guy in one city...and lost at that! Only to let him escape and haved her bending taken away by said crazy, but hot guy, who would still be on the loose if his brother had't taken care of it. And who had to come to the rescue??? The previous Avatar, still a freaking boss on the other side, Aang to restore her bending. So I ask, why exactly is she so badass again?!?!

I just love seeing the Avatar line ... but at the same time it is really bittersweet, the passage of time.

it goes in a pattern it`s interesting that after Keoshi or however you spell that women earth benders name it`s two males shouldn't it be girl,boy,girl,boy,girl not girl,boy,boy,girl hmmmm interesting

Wow! I really admire how each profile is a little different. Not just the costumes, but the actual facial structure! I always struggle with making each character have unique attributes, but you do it flawlessly!
